Heating and ventilation

Central Heating

The system we have installed in your new home has been professionally designed. To help you, we have put together a few handy hints:

  • Make sure that furniture and curtains are not placed directly in front of radiators or on your radiation floor vents.
  • It is essential that your fires and heating systems are serviced annually by either a Corgi registered plumber, British Gas or another reputable company.
  • Once you have set the temperature using the room thermostat, which is usually located in the hallway, you can adjust individual room radiators using the individual thermostatic valves to suit your personal comfort.
  • Any accidental damage such as chips or scratches to your radiator can be repaired with enamel paint.
  • It is advisable to maintain your central heating at a constant level and have adequate ventilation. This avoids extremes of temperature - particularly important in kitchens and bathrooms.
  • For best results, always use the system according to the manufacturer’s instructions.
