Bett Homes has donated three of its marketing suites to Beamish Football Club. The ex-marketing suites are large, portable buildings and have been gratefully received by all those involved in the local football club.
The suites have been utilised at two separate sites in Derwentside; two of the suites have been positioned at the Beamish Football Club training facility at the old school fields at New Kyo and one is situated at the Morrison Busty road ends.
Chris Hume, club secretary at Beamish Football Club said: “We’re delighted that Bett Homes chose to donate its ex-marketing suites to us, they’re a great size and we truly appreciate it. We’re really utilising the space the suites have provided and it has opened up a number of opportunities to teams involved with Beamish Football Club.
“At New Kyo, one of the suites is being used as changing facilities, without which the Under 15’s boy’s team wouldn’t have been able to play at the venue, the other suite at New Kyo is being used as a canteen which generates invaluable income for the football club.
“The additional suite at Morrison Busty is used as a changing facility which is used by a number of teams, including the adult team and our teams with learning disabilities. The suite is genuinely appreciated on a Saturday morning when we host the Gateshead Youth League. On behalf of everyone at Beamish Football Club we’d like to say a huge thank you to Bett Homes.”
Frank Lincoln, operations director at Bett Homes commented: “It’s great news that the ex-marketing suites are being utilised by a great community organisation such as Beamish Football Club. Bett Homes is committed to helping local communities in the north east and we wish the football teams at Beamish Football Club all the best in their leagues this season.”
Beamish Football Club was founded in 2002 and started with just two teams. The club now trains over 20 teams including under 6’s, adults, over 40’s, girls teams and children with learning difficulties.
