What’s the procedure?

We want to make it as stress-free and special for you as we possibly can. There are a few points worth noting to help the stress levels all round:

• Keys are not normally handed over before mid-day. This is to allow solicitors time to arrange the successful transfer of funds (known as “Legal Completion”). A Bett representative will contact you as soon as these funds have been received and arrange a time for you to collect the keys of your new home. You may wish to advance your funds on the previous day to allow an early morning move. Please ensure that your removal firm knows about these timescales.


• Your Sales Advisor will accompany you to your new home and ask you to inspect items such as kitchen units and worktops, glazing, sanitary ware etc. You will also be asked to sign your Handover Day Document to say you are satisfied with the condition of these items and that you have received all keys. We will also take all service meter readings at this stage.


• Your Sales Advisor will also explain the Bett Customer Service Policy and Warranty Provider Guide.


• Please remember that your new driveway has been designed for private vehicles and therefore it would be wise to avoid the weight of removal vans.
